This was the first new colorway to be released for the Air Jordan II. This colorway is mostly nubuck which wide departure from the Italian leather of the originals. They are the first and only pair of the Air Jordan 2 (II) to be released in a black colorway. During its early years, plans and sketches of a black colorway were drawn up but people always wondered why a black colorway was never released. They are hightop with feature a black upper constructed from suede, with chrome and silver accents. Part of the upper also consists of an area which has a bumpy, braille feeling to it.
